Spam Trap is a free Discord moderation bot designed to detect spam, stop compromised accounts, and help keep Discord communities safe.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spam Trap. You must also have permission from the server owner or administrators and grant the bot the required Discord permissions such as Ban Members and Manage Server.
Spam Trap must only be used for legitimate server moderation. You may not use the bot to harass users, target legitimate members, abuse its features, or violate Discord's Terms of Service.
Spam Trap automatically monitors configured trap channels. When spam is detected, it performs the configured moderation action, removes spam messages, notifies the affected user when appropriate, and records the action in your moderation logs.
When Spam Trap joins a server, it automatically creates a spam trap channel with a multilingual warning message. Administrators can rename or replace this channel at any time.
Spam Trap is provided as is without warranties of any kind. While we work to provide accurate detection, we cannot guarantee that every action will be correct or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for false positives, service interruptions, downtime, or data loss.
Server administrators are responsible for configuring Spam Trap correctly, maintaining proper role hierarchy, reviewing moderation logs, informing their community about automated moderation when appropriate, and ensuring their server complies with applicable laws and Discord's policies.
The Spam Trap dashboard uses Discord OAuth2 for authentication. It only accesses your Discord username, avatar, and the list of servers you can manage. Login sessions automatically expire after seven days.
We aim to keep Spam Trap available around the clock, but uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time without prior notice.
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Spam Trap after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Spam Trap if these Terms are violated or if the service is abused.
The Spam Trap name, logo, badges, branding, website, and related assets are the intellectual property of the Spam Trap project and may not be copied, redistributed, or used without permission.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us through GitHub Issues or our Discord server.
